A range of concretes and cement-bound sand products from Heidelberg Materials UK have been added to NBS Source, expanding access to digital specification data for architects, engineers and other construction specifiers.

NBS Source is a widely used specification platform in the UK construction industry, used by more than 30,000 professionals.

It enables users to search for construction products by category, manufacturer or product type, and provides access to technical data, brochures and case studies to support specification decisions.

Low-carbon and specialist concrete products included

The addition includes several of Heidelberg Materials’ specialist products, including evoBuild low carbon concrete, which incorporates evoZero carbon captured near-zero cement, as well as waterproof concrete, PowerCrete heat-conducting concrete, and PowerSand CBS, a cement-bound sand designed for high-voltage underground cable installations and approved to ENA TS 97-1 standards.

Daniel Clayton, Concrete Technical Director at Heidelberg Materials UK, said: “We offer specifiers a wide range of high quality construction materials that are engineered to provide specific benefits, such as lower carbon, integral waterproofing and high thermal conductivity.

“Listing them on NBS Source makes it easy for architects, specifiers and engineers to access standardised product information such as technical, performance and compliance data. This helps save time by allowing them to efficiently research, compare and specify the right product for the right job.”

Improved access to technical data for specifiers

The listing is expected to improve visibility of specialist concrete products within the digital specification process, as the construction sector continues to move towards more data-driven selection of materials and greater focus on carbon reduction and performance criteria.
