Heidelberg Materials will resume supply of premium grade limestone for construction projects from its Station Road depot in Fareham from 10 February 2026.
The depot will also handle a range of aggregate products for building and specialist applications.
Return to direct supply for Hampshire construction market
The resumption of operations marks Heidelberg Materials’ return to directly supplying the Hampshire market, following a period of reduced activity at the rail-connected site. The depot is expected to process around 150,000 tonnes of material annually, increasing to 200,000 tonnes over the next three years.

Vincent Pitt, Area Manager Mendips and Masters at Heidelberg Materials UK, said:

Rail-connected site to reduce vehicle movements and emissions
The Fareham depot is part of Heidelberg Materials’ wider strategy to make full use of its network of rail-connected depots. Using rail logistics is expected to reduce vehicle movements and associated CO₂ emissions.
