Specialist flat roofing supplier Flex-R has become a supplier member of the UK’s Builders Merchants Federation.
The decision to join came hot on the heels of its win of ‘Roofing Supplier of the Year’ at the recent Builders Merchants Journal Industry Awards 2025, and demonstrates its commitment to supplying the Builders Merchant sector.
Flex-R has built a trusted, watertight reputation in the builders’ merchant market for synthetic single-ply EPDM membranes over the past 25 years. It has consistently enhanced its product offering, technical training and overall service to this market, and this was recognised at the recent Builders Merchants Awards, where it won Supplier of the Year for 2025.
This award win became a catalyst for joining the BMF, a route which the business believes will further enhance its continual improvement drive to supply a quality service to this market.
The BMF membership comprises over 1000 building materials businesses that collaborate across the industry. It is an active federation with many initiatives that bring merchants and suppliers together to work more closely.
It works with government bodies across the UK to stay up to date with topical issues, industry changes and new regulations. It also values and supports learning and development through its network, which aligns perfectly with Flex-R’s emphasis on training.
