We are certain most people in the trade are aware of the actions of Siroflex/Bostik who introduced a label into the market, calling it OB1 and claiming it was the original CT1.
It is difficult to comprehend that a company of its size and long standing in the market would act in such a manner.
We created the CT1 brand over 22 years ago, with the ambition to be the number 1 sealant and adhesive in the UK market. We achieved this accolade two years ago, gaining 52% UK market share, as confirmed by retail market analysis specialist GfK.
As you can imagine, this took a significant amount of investment and hard work from 100+ exceptional and dedicated people within the greater C-Tec network to achieve this ambition.
We had no choice but to defend our brand, our livelihood and, most importantly, our employees jobs in our organisation who we deeply care about.
Thankfully, the court was appalled by such behaviour, and they sent a crystal-clear message.
