The Builders Merchants Federation (BMF) has recognised two regional managers for their contribution to member engagement and support across the building materials sector.
Internal awards presented by the federation celebrated outstanding performance in regional leadership, member participation and support for businesses across the construction supply chain.
Chris Heeks, Regional Manager for the North of England and the Isle of Man, was named BMF Regional Manager of the Year for the second consecutive year.

Chris joined the BMF in September 2022 and was recognised for maintaining high standards of member support and engagement across the region.
Before joining the federation, he built experience within the builders merchant sector through roles with an independent merchant business and Jewson.
The BMF said the award reflected his ongoing commitment to supporting member businesses and strengthening relationships across the region.
Central Region named most engaged BMF region
A second award recognised the federation’s Central Region, led by Craig Jennings, as the BMF’s “Most Engaged” region.
The award was based on member participation levels, including attendance at regional meetings and events, involvement in training programmes and wider engagement with BMF initiatives.
Craig, who joined the organisation in October 2022, said encouraging members to maximise the value of their federation membership remained a key focus of his role.
BMF highlights importance of regional member support
In a statement accompanying the awards, the Builders Merchants Federation praised both regional managers for helping strengthen engagement across the organisation.
The BMF said: “These awards recognise the dedication and professionalism shown by our Regional Managers in delivering real value to members and helping build stronger connections across the BMF community.”
