Travis Perkins has launched a two-year management programme aimed at developing 12 recruits for future leadership roles across its branch network.
The Fast Track Management Programme will combine workplace training with Level 2 and Level 3 apprenticeship qualifications, with successful candidates expected to progress towards management positions within the builders’ merchant’s branches.
Three learners will be based across each of Travis Perkins’ four geographical regions.
Apprentices to gain experience across Travis Perkins branches
The programme will provide participants with experience across multiple branches and teams, alongside coaching and opportunities to work with colleagues across the wider business.
Quarterly engagement and networking events will also form part of the programme, while previous participants will provide development support to the new recruits.
The 12 apprentices will be based at branches in Bristol St Philips, Cambridge Coldhams Lane, Chippenham, Edinburgh West, Epsom, Hartlepool, Lee Green, Leeds Elland Road, Northampton Harvey Reeves Road, Norwich North, Staples Corner and Witney.

Builders’ merchant expands route into construction careers
The programme is expected to begin with a launch event in October, followed by quarterly engagement and networking sessions.
Travis Perkins said the initiative forms part of its wider approach to developing talent within the business and creating a pathway into management roles.
Applications for the Fast Track Management Programme are now open, with the new recruits due to undertake their training while working within the branch network.
Travis Perkins operates more than 500 branches across the UK, supplying building materials and related products and services to construction professionals and self-builders.
