30 years of retail and operations experience in building materials and hire sector
Mugridge brings more than 30 years of operational and retail leadership experience to the role, with a background spanning major UK retail and hire businesses.
He began his career at B&Q aged 16, progressing from checkout operator to General Manager, before moving into senior roles at Homebase, B&M and WH Smith, where he held regional management positions.
Most recently, he served as National Operations Director at Brandon Hire Station, where he led procedural improvements, cultural change initiatives and health and safety performance enhancements.
In his new role, Mugridge will focus on operational excellence across Huws Gray’s Plant & Tool Hire division, alongside colleague development and long-term business growth.
Plant and tool hire division targets operational improvement and growth
The appointment comes as Huws Gray looks to strengthen its hire offering, with a focus on improving service delivery, safety compliance and operational consistency across its national network.
Mugridge will also be responsible for supporting the division’s expansion plans and aligning performance standards across sites.
