The 2027 BMF All Industry Conference will be held in North Africa for the first time, with the construction and merchant sector gathering in Marrakech from 10–13 June 2027.

The conference, organised by the Builders Merchants Federation, will be hosted at the Savoy Le Grand hotel in Marrakech, a five-star venue overlooking the High Atlas Mountains. The event will be presented by broadcaster Gethin Jones, who has previously hosted the conference in Budapest and Dubrovnik.

The conference theme, Connecting Ideas, Creating Tomorrow, will frame discussions across the four-day programme, which brings together senior figures from across the building materials and construction supply chain.

Marrakech chosen as host city

Marrakech has been selected as the 2027 host city due to its role as a major cultural and commercial hub in North Africa, with a historic medina designated as a UNESCO World Heritage Site. The city combines established trading infrastructure with a growing international profile, including its co-hosting status for the FIFA World Cup 2030.

BMF CEO John Newcomb said the location reflects the conference’s aim of combining industry discussion with broader global context.

John Newcomb, CEO of the Builders Merchants Federation, said: “Marrakech is a fantastic conference destination, offering a striking contrast between ancient and modern, which not only makes it a sought-after location for Hollywood movies but also provides the credentials to co-host the FIFA World Cup 2030.”

He added: “Our conference hotel offers direct access to the upscale Menara shopping mall and is within walking distance of both the historic medina and the tranquil Menara Gardens. Delegates will have ample time to explore the cultural heritage and natural beauty that make Marrakech one of the world’s most popular travel destinations.

Delivering a sustainable event is important to us. Wherever possible, the conference’s environmental impact will be minimised by using local suppliers and recyclable materials, and by reducing single-use items. Our conference hotel shares our commitment to the environment.”

Industry gathering and sustainability focus

The conference is expected to bring together merchants, suppliers and manufacturers from across the UK construction supply chain, with sessions focused on industry challenges, collaboration and future growth.

Sustainability is also set to remain a key focus, with organisers stating that environmental impact will be reduced through sourcing local suppliers, using recyclable materials and limiting single-use items.
