ABUS was founded in 1924 in Volmarstein, Germany, by August Bremicker and his sons. Over the following decades, ABUS expanded its product portfolio to include bicycle locks, door and window security, alarm systems, CCTV, and access-control solutions, becoming one of the world’s leading security brands.
