Huws Gray has appointed its first Showroom Director as the supplier continues a programme of investment across its showroom estate.
James Davis has joined the business in the newly created role, bringing more than 20 years’ experience across the retail and builders’ merchant sectors.
He will lead Huws Gray’s national showroom strategy and oversee the development of its customer-facing estate.
Huws Gray invests in showroom refurbishments
Davis began his career at Homebase before moving into leadership roles at Magnet and Benchmarx Kitchens & Joinery.
The appointment comes as Huws Gray continues to refurbish its showrooms, with 80% of its estate renovated over the past 12 months.
Recent refurbishment projects have included branches in Penrith, Dyffryn, Grimsby, Stamford, Lincoln, Sutton in Ashfield and Nuneaton. The work is intended to create a more consistent format across Huws Gray’s showroom network.
A key element of the refurbished showrooms is the display of National Trust kitchens, which are exclusively supplied by Huws Gray.
The investment forms part of Huws Gray’s wider strategy for its branch estate, with the company reporting that its showrooms outperformed the underlying market during the first five months of 2026.
